Our StoryIn 2006 I adopted River from a spay, neuter and release organzation, and little did I know, that I had just let someone into my life that would change everything.
She was joy itself. I had never met a cat quite like her. A huge proponent of belly rubs, chin scratches, and sleeping as close as possible, she loved everyone. No matter if it was my husband or the plumber she greeted everyone by displaying her belly and asking for affection. My husband calls her a once in a lifetime cat, and each day we are reminded about just how special she was. River passed away in July 2017 from pancreatic cancer and her loss was devastating for our family. In her memory I decided to create a charity that would support other tortie cats and give them a chance to change someones life forever; just as River did for us. |
